The recorder still does the zooming. Edit is for everything you add on top.
Lay b-roll, overlays and your camera feed over the recording. Drag a clip to move it, drag its edges to trim, split it at the playhead.
Your face in the corner, sized and placed wherever you like. When the picture zooms in, the camera shrinks so it does not cover what you are pointing at.
Import video, images and audio. Anything in a different format is converted once on the way in.
Transcribe the audio and get captions timed to the word, ready to restyle. Runs on your own machine.
Edit also finds where the screen changed while you were typing, and zooms in there.
Landscape, square or portrait, picked while you watch the preview. Fit, fill or pad the edges.

Pick the shape above the preview and it renders at exactly that size, so you reframe while looking at it.
You set the export quality too. A lower one renders faster.
Switch a landscape edit to portrait and everything on it moves with the frame, in proportion.
